Swim Class

Drewn has been in swim class for about 5 months now. We are in Saturday classes now since i'm now working again. The great thing is that Daddy can now join us and take turns going into the pool with him. It still amazes me to see these little ones floating on their backs.. or seeing them doggie paddle. Some of the older ones(3-4 yrs) are such good swimmers and even do different types of strokes and flip from their backs to stomachs with ease! But as for now, Drew is definitely comfortable and loves being in the water. We are working on him holding his breath and blowing out unter water. he can hold his breath for a few seconds and is doing great learning to kick with his feet.

Doing "laps" with his paddles.

winter wonderland

There's a church in houston that has a fabulous winter wonderland every year with food, games, hay rides, and santa with real reindeer! The best part about it is that they make fake snow and all the kids can go play and make lil snowballs. I took Andrew there, since this is the closest we will ever get to snow in houston! He had a hard time walking on it.. so he sat and was a little tentative to touch it at first. Then he realized it was like an "icey" and kept trying to eat all of it! it was really gross. But since you are only allowed to play in it for like 5 minutes, before the next group of people can come inside... i didn't have to chase him around too long! I did, however, have to deal with a horrible tantrum while everyone was staring at me cuz he didn't want to leave!!!! Here's probably the only pics of Andrew playing in the "snow" that we will get for this winter!

Now that the weather is finally getting cold, Grandma has been spoiling him with winter clothes! She sends them by the box via fedex!!! here's one of the latest.. the softest microfleece i've ever felt. its a brown teddy bear jacket with ears on the hood. So soft and warm....Andrew loves it too!

memorial city mall

I've always heard that memorial city mall had a great kids play area... but little did i know that its like disneyworld for toddlers! everything is padded and safe for them. From slides, pits, tunnels, castles, and spinning dragons.. its every little one's dream play area! i finally took Andrew and he had a blast.... he threw a tantrum when we had to leave...but we had a great time. Here's some pics.

Halloween

We went to the cutest halloween party. There was a mini carnival outside with little booths for baby games. Too bad Andrew didn't get to participate because he was overheating in his dragon costume and didn't really like it. He was only in it for 10 minutes before taking it off! needless to say, he still had a great time. here are tiny some pictures (cant get them any bigger!) of him in his costume!

Trip to dallas

We went to dallas over the weekend. Andrew had a great time with grandma and grandpa and got spoiled like crazy! We went to a wedding reception and saw the rest of our extended family. Of course, he did not want to sit in the chair long and did his robot walk around the whole room. Thank God grandma and grandpa were there to chase him!

dog whisperer

Move over Cesar Milan.. here comes the new dog whisperer! Andrew keeps "talking" to Abby as if she is having some sort of conversation with her. Abby will bark and then Andrew yelps back. Abby then barks back.. and it goes on and on...until i can't stand it anymore! I got a cute clip of them talking to each other. Enjoy!

4th of july

We were excited to show Andrew his first fireworks show this year. We went extra early to the new Discovery Green Park and had a picnic. After what seemed like an eternity, the fireworks finally started and we were in the wrong part of the city! We saw glimpses of the fireworks between tall buildlings in downtown! i've never seen so many people run.. as if running from a natural disaster! Everyone was trying to run to get a better view. We rushed to our car and were lucky to find a spot in a parking lot to pull over and watch the grand finale. Andrew loved it.. and it was well worth it! Here are some pics from the eventful day!

breakfast fun

Andrew has been loving to feed our yorkie, Abby lately. He will drop food in front of her and smile as she comes and eats it. Not only that, he's figured out that if he drops food off his highchair.. then abby will come and gobble it all up! The other morning, he was eating cantaloupe at breakfast and started cracking up as he threw it down for abby. Here's a short clip of it below.

swim class

Andrew's Eemo(aunt in korean) went with us to swim class today. She took him in the water while i snapped away with my camera. Needless to say, he loved it (as always). This is really one of the funnest classes we've taken yet! Hopefully he'll be a great swimmer (or at least a great floater) soon!

New wheels

We took Andrew to the park for his first ride out in his new tricycle from Grandma and Grandpa. He loved being outdoors and it was a totally new experience riding a bike. It even has a little bell that he was keep ringing and ringing as if to let people know he was coming around! Though he can't pedal, this tricycle is great because it has a footrest, seatbelt, and pushbar so even the littlest ones can ride a bike. We recommend it to all mommies and daddies! I was able to get a few pics... see below.

Happy birthday!

Today was his actual birthday. So i decided to try and make it a fun day. I took him to his Eemo's house to play in the pool. The big pool was closed for cleaning, but he had so much fun splashing around a kiddy pool in the backyard. Later that evening, we took him to chucky cheese. Though he didn't really care for chucky cheese and his buddies on stage, he loved riding the rides and playing the games with daddy! Here are some pics from our day.

Trying to catch the water in his hands.

Smile birthday boy!

He was so exhausted from the pool that he was laying like this for like 5 minutes without even budging or making a sound! it was the sweetest thing.

I had to get a pic of him in the chucky cheese car!

He sat staring at the screen while dad was getting seriously into this space shooting as game. Dad was so proud and was high fiving Andrew all the way home while singing "we got the highest score~~!"
