We finally made it back to Houston from our trip to Dallas to see Andrew's grandparents. Though it was a little over a week, it was an eventful week. Andrew was sick the first half of our visit with a high fever of close to 104! Nothing is more heartbreaking than seeing your baby sick. After the fever subsided he developed a red rash all over his body and on his face. He looked like the first baby for a rosacea or proactiv commercial! It turned out to be a viral infection called Roseola that is really common in babies and young children. Luckily, he was better by the fourth day and sure made up for his 4 days of not eating solids! My mom was so eager to cook him food, you would think she was cooking for an army! He loved it all and gobbled it all up! It really put into perspective how incredibly lucky David and I are to have a healthy baby. Here are some pics from our trip to Dallas.
Just a cute pic i took before leaving houston. Thought it was adorable.
We flew to Dallas and back. Luckily its a short flight and Andrew did really well and was on his best behavior. He loved looking out the window and got really excited when we landed.
The weather was beautiful and Andrew loved the outdoors. I think he was enjoying the break from the nasty humidity in houston! You can't see it here.. but he tried to eat the leaf and ended up getting a piece in his mouth which took forever to dig out!
Proud grandparents with their pride and joy at the store. They were so sad when we left, and i think Andrew was sad to leave too! Andrew took to my mom immediately when we got there and even got so attached that he would cry when she left the room! Of course, grandma LOVED that!
These are ginormous rice crackers that Andrew loves to chow down on. Its truly amazing what all you can eat with two teeny tiny teeth!
Grandma put a bowl of water in the middle of the living room and let him go at it! He splashed and splashed getting his whole shirt soaking wet. Grandparents will let their grandchildren get away with anything... unlike when i was growing up!
Andrew got to go play with Kaden as soon as he was feeling better. They have been waiting to play with each other all week!
Neither one of them took their afternoon nap that day and it was so cute to see them really interacting with each other instead of just laying there and rolling around together! They were so excited. I really think they know they are buddies!
Here's a clip of them playing some sort of pattycake game on the table. Well... they were just slapping their hands on the table everywhere. I caught the end of it on tape.. just as Kaden was creeping over towards Andrew and knocking him over in the process. Aunt Nancy was trying to stop him while Andrew was holding on for dear life! It was hilarious.
After his playdate with Kaden that day, he passed out during dinner(apparently something i used to always do as a baby) and while watching baby einstein (unheard of)!!!!
Lastly, I just wanted to squeeze in a little video clip of me chasing Andrew around while my mom is "piggybacking" him. Yes, in case you are wondering, she has this blanket thing wrapped around him that is especially made for this. In korean culture, moms would carry their babies around on their backs instead of the front. She actually made this herself just so she could piggyback him around while we were in dallas!
