swim class

Andrew's Eemo(aunt in korean) went with us to swim class today. She took him in the water while i snapped away with my camera. Needless to say, he loved it (as always). This is really one of the funnest classes we've taken yet! Hopefully he'll be a great swimmer (or at least a great floater) soon!

New wheels

We took Andrew to the park for his first ride out in his new tricycle from Grandma and Grandpa. He loved being outdoors and it was a totally new experience riding a bike. It even has a little bell that he was keep ringing and ringing as if to let people know he was coming around! Though he can't pedal, this tricycle is great because it has a footrest, seatbelt, and pushbar so even the littlest ones can ride a bike. We recommend it to all mommies and daddies! I was able to get a few pics... see below.

Happy birthday!

Today was his actual birthday. So i decided to try and make it a fun day. I took him to his Eemo's house to play in the pool. The big pool was closed for cleaning, but he had so much fun splashing around a kiddy pool in the backyard. Later that evening, we took him to chucky cheese. Though he didn't really care for chucky cheese and his buddies on stage, he loved riding the rides and playing the games with daddy! Here are some pics from our day.

Smile birthday boy!

He was so exhausted from the pool that he was laying like this for like 5 minutes without even budging or making a sound! it was the sweetest thing.

He sat staring at the screen while dad was getting seriously into this space shooting as game. Dad was so proud and was high fiving Andrew all the way home while singing "we got the highest score~~!"

1st birthday party

Andrew's first birthday party was a huge success and we had a great turnout! Thanks to all his buddies , aunties/uncles, and grandmas/grandpas that joined us. He survived the night in his korean ham boke and didn't even cry when wearing it! I think babies know its their birthday.. he was on his best behavior! Here are a few pics of the night. Our professional pics are done yet, but will post them as soon as i get them.

Benihana birthday boy

Andrew's favorite auntie took us to Benihana's for an early birthday lunch. Andrew liked the hibachi show but especially loved the fried rice! They even sang happy birthday and took a picture of him in their Benihana birthday chef's hat! it was too cute!

1st birthday shoot

We had Andrew's 1 yr birthday shoot last week. He absolutely hates his korean outfit, called a ham boke. I tried it on him at home and he threw his body on the ground kicking and crying until i took it off him. Luckily the photographer had a little piano that he could play with.. so he was somewhat distracted for a few minutes. We also brought a cake for him to dig into while the photographer snapped away. It makes for some really cute pictures..but he was on such a sugar high afterwards.. he didn't nap for the rest of the day! father's day

We celebrated our first Father's Day last sunday. We went to the children's museum. They were having lots of activites for fathers and children that day. Although Andrew was a litte too young to participate, he had fun playing with daddy at the tot spot. He loves that place and so do i!!! David was impressed with it as well! We had a great time, and all of us were exhausted by the time we got home.. so we had family naptime before we headed out for dinner. It was a great first father's day for us.

swim classes

Andrew started swim classes yesterday. He LOVES the water, and so i figured swim classes would be a great way for him to have fun and learn to swim at the same time! We started these parent/child classes where they teach the babies through songs and games how to float on their backs and hold their breath (they call it blowing bubbles). The minute we got in the water, andrew was all smiles and immediately was kicking and splashing around! It was crazy to see that Andrew could hold his breath under the water! The teacher took him and completely submerged him while saying "lets blow bubbles" and then brought him back up from the water. Andrew didn't even cry or choke on the water! he just shook it off and then was playing again! I couldn't take pictures since i was in the pool with him, but here's a pic after his first class. He did NOT want to get out of the water!

vegas baby!

David and i went to las vegas to celebrate our anniversary last week. It was my first time away from Andrew and i was a complete mess when i left Andrew with his grandparents. I was boohoo-ing and didn't want to leave.. but it was a great vacation and a much needed break! We watched some great shows, gambled, ate yummy food, and relaxed by the pool. To top it off, i won a jackpot on the slots! whoohoo! I thought of Andrew every minute and missed him sooo much. I couldn't wait to get back to my baby! Here are a few pics of our trip.

We watched the Blue Man Group. They gave out rolls and rolls of white paper and wanted the audience to decorate themselves as part of the show.

Here's our baby with his lion souvenier from the lion habitat. We refrained from getting all of the long legged stuffed animals and decided on this one. The first thing Andrew did with it.. he tried to eat the lion's hair!
